Paraguay Population

Paraguay has experienced steady population growth over the past several decades. As of 2024, its population is estimated at around 7.6 million people, up from approximately 4.7 million in 2000. This growth has been driven by a relatively high birth rate and a young population, with a median age of about 29 years. Urbanization has also increased, with more Paraguayans moving to cities such as Asunción in search of economic opportunities. While the rate of population growth has gradually slowed in recent years, Paraguay continues to see positive demographic momentum, which presents both opportunities and challenges for its social and economic development.
