Congo Kinshasa Population

The population of Congo Kinshasa, officially known as the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), has experienced rapid growth over the past several decades. As of 2024, the DRC is the fourth most populous country in Africa, with an estimated population exceeding 100 million people. This growth is driven by a high fertility rate, with the average woman having more than five children, and a relatively young population, as a significant proportion of Congolese are under the age of 25. Despite political instability and economic challenges, the population continues to increase at an annual rate of about 3%, making the DRC one of the fastest-growing countries in the world. This rapid population expansion presents both opportunities and significant challenges for the country’s infrastructure, health care, education, and employment sectors.
